I was fortunate enough to spend the weekend at the lighthouse at Bidston Hill on the Wirral. I was there with around twenty members of the Association of Lighthouse Keepers to work on digitising the ALK’s extensive archive. Amongst the gems, we traced ten years’ worth of meticulously kept staton record books from the Royal Sovereign. The digitisation of these will be prioritised in order to preserve the books themselves. Here’s a small teaser!
