£500 boost from the police

Feb 8, 2024

Bexhill Maritime has received a £500 boost from Sussex Police thanks to PCSO Daryl Holter.

He was able to secure the grant from the Police Property Act Fund, made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.

Raymond Konyn, Chair, Trustee and Founder said: “We thank Sussex Police for their generous donation. The funding will be spent on equipment needed to deliver community engagement, such as hi-vis jackets, printer and laminator”.

PCSO Holter said: “I am really happy to help. Bexhill Maritime is a newly formed charity which has been set up to develop a Maritime Centre in Bexhill and house the decommissioned Royal Sovereign Lighthouse Lantern Tower.”
